The Global Volunteer Network (GVN) offers volunteer service opportunities in community projects around the world. We currently provide volunteer programs through our partner organizations in 21 countries throughout South America, Africa and Asia. Our vision is to support the work of local community organizations in developing countries through the placement of international volunteers.

There is no secret that volunteering activities at the school level enable families to share their time and talents to support the school, teachers, and students. It matters not if volunteers are working at the school, in the classroom or in the community, they are essential to promoting parent involvement and student achievement. It’s no secret that some teachers can be territorial when it comes to letting someone into their classroom or accepting assistance from individuals

Imagine working with a group of new friends, like-minded individuals from every region of the world, on a project close to your own heart. Helping Katrina victims clean up their devastated homes in New Orleans, clearing hundreds of miles of trails for the Appalachian Mountain Club, building houses for Habitat for Humanity in Africa--all are possible activities available to vacationers willing to volunteer their time.
